Motor Valley Fest: technologies and visions from Spoke 6 on autonomous mobility

5 June 2025

In the heart of Motor Valley Fest 2025, Piazza della Torre has transformed into a lively and dynamic exhibition of solutions developed within the MOST Spoke 6 CAV. Despite the heat, citizens and visitors paused curiously in front of experimental vehicles, sensors, autonomous driving systems, and digital infrastructures. A valuable opportunity to bring the public closer to a topic that all too often seems distant, abstract, almost futuristic. Instead, the technologies are here, visible, tangible, and starting to tell a present that is evolving rapidly.
The narrative continued in the afternoon at the Motor Valley Accelerator, where Emiliano Audisio from Wired Italia moderated a conference rich in content and visions.
After the initial greeting from Claudia Simoni, BD Manager MOST, Marko Bertogna from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia provided insight into the work of Spoke 6, emphasizing the strategic role of MOST: an essential facilitator to turn research into business and to make technology a real engine of change.
The discussion then intensified with three round tables, structured as a journey through the different dimensions of autonomous mobility: the challenges of integrating autonomous and traditional vehicles, mobility for people and goods, from rail transport to maritime and aerospace transport, with examples of autonomous solutions capable of spanning every modality.
