Spoke 2: innovative vehicles for sustainable mobility

During the three days of ToSVE – Towards the Sustainable Vehicle Era, taking place at the Politecnico di Torino and the historic Pista 500 of Lingotto, the last of the three days is entirely dedicated to the activities and vision of Spoke 2 of the National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST).
Spoke 2 is working on the design of a new generation of vehicles aimed at significantly reducing the environmental, economic, and social impact of the transport system. A research direction that starts with a clear assumption: smaller, lighter, reconfigurable vehicles that are fully integrated into digital networks and charging infrastructures can represent a concrete answer to the challenges of sustainable mobility.
Throughout the day, advancements made in the development and testing of the vehicle include:
high-efficiency electric and hydrogen propulsion systems;
innovative components and systems, from tires to suspensions to control systems;
intelligent integration of the vehicle into data networks and charging infrastructures.
