Spoke 12: technologies and sustainable propulsion for the transport of the future

January 21, 2025
from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, an event dedicated to the most innovative technologies in the field of sustainable propulsion will be held at the headquarters of the CNR (National Research Council) in Rome.
The Spoke 12, coordinated by the CNR, promotes the creation of a network of research centers and laboratories, along with prototype applications at a real scale, to develop advanced solutions for sustainable transport. The goal is to work on:
- Propulsion technologies powered by sustainable energy sources for the transport system.
- Innovative prototypes of advanced and sustainable propulsors.
- "Fuel flexibility" solutions through the use of e-fuels and biofuels.
- Optimization of on-board energy flows for land, naval, and aeronautical mobility.
This event is part of a national context that sees Italy engaged in ecological transition. In 2023, the Italian government increased investments in research and development of sustainable technologies, with particular attention to the electrification of transport and the adoption of alternative fuels.
